FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is a visa needed?
On arrival you will have the choice to get a full visa or a Sinai-only stamp.
The Sinai-only stamp is valid for 15 days and is free of charge. If you are only planning on staying in the Sinai (Sharm, Dahab, Nuweiba, Taba, St. Catherine) and only diving in Sharm until Ras Mohammed or Dahab then the Sinai-only visa is the one you need.
The full visa is valid for a month and costs US$ 25 per person. If you are planning on diving the SS Thistlegorm, go on a live-aboard or to visit Cairo, Luxor or Aswan a full visa is needed and can be bought at the Misr bank in the airport.
All visitors must have a valid passport with at least six months left on it.
Which currency is used?
The currency here is the Egyptian Pound.
You can change money at any bank or in some of the hotels at the reception. Cash in Euro, US Dollar, Pound Sterling and Swiss Francs are accepted at most places.
Coins in foreign currency are not accepted everywhere.
Credit cards can be used in many places, mainly charging in Egyptian Pound or US Dollar.
Cash machines to withdraw money (Egyptian Pounds) are also available.
Is there a time difference?
What is the average air and water temperature here?
Health care information
There are no vaccinations needed to visit Egypt unless you are arriving from an infected area. Hepatitis A, Rabies and Tetanus vaccinations are recommended as a precautionary measure.
We recommend you buy something to deal with diarrhoea and digestive problems here in Egypt for a better effect.
Due to the high air temperatures, it is very important to take care of sufficient fluid intake to avoid dehydration. A minimum of 4 litres of fluid (ideally water) per day is advisable and only use bottled water for drinking.
Avoid long exposure to the sun, use high factor sun cream to avoid sunburns and heat strokes.
It is a good idea to have rehydrating salts with you.
How to get here?
There are several weekly direct flights from most European countries.
And there are daily flights from any European country with Turkish Airlines and Pegasus over Istanbul and with Egypt Air over Cairo.
The flight time from Europe to Sharm el Sheikh is between 3 and 7 hours depending on the country of departure.
How can I come to the diving center?

Where can you find us?
Our diving center is located in the heart of Ras Umm el Sid area, also known as Hadaba, at El Ferouseya St.
We have lots of different 3* to 5* resorts around us and the shopping area, Il Mercato with nice restaurants and coffee shops in the next street.
The famous Old Market is only 5 minutes by car and Naama Bay is only 10 minutes by car.

Do I have to dive with a computer?
What else is there to do other than diving during your diving holiday?
After 2 or 3 dives a day, you might just want to stay in the hotel and sleep early.
But for the ones that would like to explore Sharm, go out for drinks, dinner or go clubbing, there is a lot to do here.
If you would like to relax in the evening with a drink and maybe try a Shisha, you will find many coffee shops but you cannot miss out on visiting Farsha. Farsha is located in Ras Umm el Sid area and built into the cliff with an amazing view of the dive site, Temple.
If you prefer going to a pub, there are pubs in every area which organise karaoke nights, quiz nights and party nights.
If you would like to go out for dinner, you will find many restaurants with different cuisines.
Ask any of our staff for recommendations.
Or try a Bedouin dinner under the stars in the desert or while camping in Ras Mohammed National Park!
If you would like to go clubbing, depending on your taste in music and the day of the week, you can choose between going to Pacha, Hard Rock Café, Space and Taj Mahal/La Dolce Vita.
